Car Insurance Dodge (Car Insurance). an air force officer Job ?an air force officer Job ? hi guys I've been wondering i want to join the air force ROTC program in any college and I want to study engineering but when I graduate I will be an air force officer and an engineer at the same time ??? if thats correct then can I work as an engineer for the air force instead of officer ?? and one more thing if i want to continue and become air force pilot what am going to do with my engineering degree ? sorry if u did not understand my question... thank you you can participate in ROTC at your school while getting an engineering degree. there are a limited number of engineering jobs in the airforce that they will take. its more or less a specialty job. you would have to find out if the degree you are going towards is accepted by the air force. otherwise, you can choose to follow another career path in the military. you can try to become a pilot however, they usually learn more towards aviation degrees and are very selective when it comes down to the small things. all in all, your degree you get and your military career really have nothing in common. you could get a degree in greek mythology and still become a pilot if you wanted. most officers never have to use their degree until they seperate from the military. even then, some dont every use it. Dodge . How to Repair Flexible BumpersThe flexible bumper on a vehicle is called the bumper fascia and is designed to protect the bumper bar and frame underneath the fascia. You must remove the damaged fascia to repair it. Repairs at home consist of washing, sanding, filling and spraying. A damaged bumper detracts from the look of the vehicle and lowers the price value. Luckily, that can all be fixed with a day's work. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Wax/grease remover Scouring pad 24-, 180-grit sandpaper 320-, 400-grit wet/dry sandpaper Plastic repair reinforcing tape 1/8 inch drill Adhesion promoter Wire mesh Wire cutters Bonding adhesive Automotive body filler Putty knife Air compressor Flexible bumper sealer Texture spray Flexible bumper primer surfacer Bumper color coat Step by Step : 1 Pour a wax/grease remover onto the bumper and scrub in with a scouring pad and some warm water. Make sure to wash both the front and the back of the bumper fascia. 2 Sand the entire bumper with 180-grit sandpaper to remove the finish and then sand the back of the damaged area to knock off any plastic burrs or sharp edges that may have occurred during the collision. 3 Tape the bumper back into its original shape, closing up any cracks and taping over any holes. Drill an 1/8-inch hole into the end of any cracks to keep the crack from spreading. 4 Turn the bumper over so that the back is facing up, and apply an adhesion promoter to the damage. Let the adhesion promoter dry for 10 minutes. Cut out a piece of wire mesh large enough to cover the damage and extend 1 inch past the edges of the damage. 5 Cover the back of the damage with bonding adhesive and embed the wire mesh into the adhesive. Cover the wire mesh with another layer of bonding adhesive to thoroughly submerge the mesh for a strong support and then let the adhesive dry. 6 Flip the bumper over to begin work on the front. Start by sanding a hollow where there is damage with 24-grit sandpaper. Apply adhesion promoter and let it set for 10 minutes. Fill the hollow with body filler, pressing the air bubbles out with a putty knife. Smooth with the knife and let it dry. 7 Sand the front repaired area with 180-grit sandpaper and then blow all of the sanding dust away with an air compressor. 8 Seal the bumper fascia with an even coat of a flexible bumper sealer, followed by a layer of texture spray if needed. Once the texture dries, sand it with 180-grit sandpaper and then spray on another coat of texture. 9 Spray on a thin coat of flexible bumper primer surfacer to the front of the bumper. Primer prepares the bumper for paint by helping with adhesion and creating an even base color. Let the bumper dry before moving on. Step by Step : 10 Coat the front of the bumper with a matching bumper color coat. Let dry, wet sand with 320-grit wet/dry sandpaper and then rinse the bumper thoroughly. Repeat 4 times, wet sanding with 400-grit wet/dry sandpaper instead of 320-grit after the last coat. Spray once more and let the bumper fascia dry overnight before reattaching it to the vehicle.
Dodge . How to Repair a Rear Bumper CoverBumper covers are meant to absorb the massive impact of a collision to protect the frame of vehicles from damage. While good at absorbing impact, bumper covers are not very sturdy, and are easily damaged in even minor accidents. You can mend most bumper damage at home, but serious tearing of a bumper, such as the bumper being broken into two separate pieces, will probably need the help of a professional mechanic. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Screwdriver 2 sawhorses Wax/grease remover 80-grit sandpaper 320-, 400-grit wet/dry sandpaper Plastic repair reinforcing tape Adhesion promoter Wire mesh Bonding adhesive Body filler Putty knife Air compressor Flexible bumper sealer Flexible bumper primer surfacer Bumper color coat Step by Step : 1 Remove all of the fasteners holding the bumper in place with a screwdriver and pliers, and then slide the bumper off of the vehicle. Place the bumper cover on 2 sawhorses to begin the repair process. 2 Scrub the bumper cover well with a car wax/grease remover. Check to make sure the bumper is clean by rinsing it with water. If the water beads up on the surface, it is not clean enough. Scrub again until the rinse water runs off of the bumper smoothly. 3 Sand the front face of the bumper cover, and the back of any damage, with 80-grit sandpaper. If you use a power sander, keep it at a low setting. Some bumpers are made from a plastic that melts easily and the heat from fast sanding can cause it to melt and deform. 4 Tape the bumper back into its original form if it has been contorted from a collision, and then apply a layer of an adhesion promoter to the back of the damaged area. Let the adhesion promoter dry for 10 minutes. 5 Cut out a piece of wire mesh large enough to completely cover the back of the damage, overlapping 1 inch in all directions. Fill the back of the damage with a bonding adhesive, and then embed the wire mesh into the adhesive. Apply another layer of adhesive to make sure that the mesh is completely covered. Let the bonding adhesive dry completely before continuing the repairs. 6 Remove the tape from the front of the bumper and apply a layer of adhesion promoter to the front of the damaged area. Let it dry for 10 minutes, and then press body filler into the damage with a putty knife, smoothing the filler to blend in with the contour of the bumper. Allow the body filler to dry completely. 7 Sand the filled area with 80-grit sandpaper and then blow all of the dust off with an air compressor. 8 Seal the bumper with a flexible bumper sealer to help with the paint adhesion and to keep the filler in place. 9 Hold an aerosol flexible bumper primer surfacer 20 inches from the bumper and spray the entire front of the bumper, moving from side to side. Step by Step : 10 Spray the bumper with a bumper color coat that matches the other bumper. Color charts can be found where bumper color coat is sold. Let the paint dry and then wet sand with 320-grit wet/dry sandpaper. Rinse the bumper to remove the sanding dust and then let the water dry off. Step by Step : 11 Repeat the painting, drying, sanding and rinsing process 4 times. Step by Step : 12 Paint the bumper once again, let the paint dry, and then sand with 400-grit wet/dry sandpaper. The 400-grit sandpaper will smooth the surface without leaving obvious scratches. Spray the bumper with a final coat of paint and let it air dry overnight for a flawless finish. *In this chapter, I introduce you to both carbureted and fuel-injected systems as I trace the flow of fuel from the fuel tank to the engine block. When you know what each part does and where to find it, it's easy to see how all the parts work together to provide your vehicle with "GO power." If a picture is worth a thousand words, actually looking at and maybe even touching something is worth a thousand pictures. If possible, take this book out to your car, open the hood, and visit with the parts of the fuel system as you read about them. When you encounter terms in special type that are unfamiliar to you, you can find out all about them in the glossary at the end of this book. 106 289
